Greetings

Welcome to my lair. This is where i get to cut loose and let my hair down. I hope you have enjoyed your experience at the Kozmo 3 website thus far; further, i hope you will find the experience here interesting as well.

This section belongs all to me, so the shit I say here may not represent the opinions of the other guys in the band; whether it be about music, the band, politics or whatever, so remember to visit their pages.

I have been making some changes here and will continue to do so through March 2006 or so. Newly added are the textamerica picture sites and the live streaming video, as well as an overview of some of my equipment.

In addition, I hope to add more lyric pages and commentary, as well as better organizing the song list, to reflect better quality capabilities i can acheive now that i've upgraded my home studio.

Studio

Mantaining a home studio is being in a state of constant flux; it's never complete and always evolving.

Since starting this site, I went from using no percussion to using drum software to having an acoustic kit and a pad and trigger kit (Roland TD-6V). I also went from using a four dollar mic at the start to purchasing some decent mics to even better mics. These changes are clearly evident in what you hear.

My most recent upgrade has been the an audio interface, the EMU-1820m; I have also started to learn Cubase SX (a popular, professional recording program). Learning Cubase or Pro Tools was something I avoided for as long as i could. After realizing the best way to exploit all the advantages of the EMU-1820m, I decided the time was upon me. And that brings me current as of Feb 2006.

Why

The principle motivation for making this site is to present songs that i have written that may not be Kozmo 3 material, meaning it may differ from what you might expect to hear at a Kozmo 3 show.

Unless otherwise noted, the songs on this page were conceived, written, arranged, produced and recorded by myself. The quality of recordings may vary contingent upon how lazy i was during the process. Regardless, i hope you enjoy these demo and sub-demo quality recordings. i think its quite apparent which tunes were recorded pre-upgraded and post-upgraded; what a fuckin difference proper equipment makes.

Music

if your interested in lyrics, which is where songs usually start for me, you can find them by going to the lyric page. there i will also provide some context and commentary if necessary. Enjoy. Remember, these are some really rough mixes...
